1. I really need to get hold of this hdd to replace my board.

2. Is it possible to switch the IDE controller cards to replace one that is damaged? I accidently switched power supplies on my external USB caddies and fried the USB hardware and the Hard Drives. I am guessing/hoping that it was just the IDE controller card that was damaged and if I replace them I can recover my data. Or am I just dreamin?
