Q: My Seagate Barracuda hdd 7200.12(100650117) has been damaged during lightning. I had checked the pcb and find a burnt mark in the microprocessor. I managed to get another pcb(100535537) and I swapped them. Now I can hear some ticking noise,and it is spinning for a while. Is this board compatible for swapping, or I have to exchange the bios chip for proper working.
– 100535537 can be used as 100650117’s donor PCB. Please change the BIOS to try.
