Am I correct in assuming that the Bios IC?

Am I correct in assuming that the Bios IC is the 8 pin/pad device to the left and below the board I.D. number 100 0A90377 01 on your picture of the component side of the board? It is stated that in most cases it should be swapped with the original. When is this not necessary?

The 8pins (4 pins on each sides) with 25P05VP、25P10VP、25F512、25F1024、25F1024AN、SST25VF512、SST25VF010, etc. are the BIOS.
