I have a question and need a little help. Let’s say I lost my PCB’s BIOS Chip. In this situation, Can I upload firmware as software, if I buy a new and same PCB (I won’t be able to transfer BIOS chip because I lost original one). There’s some software’s or utilities to upload the firmware to the HDD. What’s the chance, If I upload the same firmware version. My HDD is Seagate Barracuda 2000GB and firmware version CC46. I wonder that, is this way is same transferring BIOS? Or, Do I have to transfer original one? Thanks and I’m sorry for my English.
