Inquiry about Platter extractor

I was looking at the platter extractor on your website and it’s interesting but my question is, that there is a certain space between one platter and the other and this distance shouldn’t be changed so if the platter extractor removes the platters one by one wouldn’t that affect the alignment?
And another question so if the platter extractor can remove the platers and put them back then do we need the HDD Platter Exchanger? As they both are used to remove and change the platters?

The old tool(HDD Platter Exchanger) can support fewer and fewer hard drives now. For most new hard drives in the future, the gap between the discs is very small, and it is almost impossible to use this old tool to pick up the platter, and the old tool is also easy It hurts the platters, so I recommend that you buy the new tool and gradually use it.

I’ve read that people are using fine tip sharpies to mark the edge of the platters.  Some customers told us they use this method, we don’t know more details. Maybe you can get some helps from others.
