Replacement HDD board enquiry

I am looking to replace the circuit board on an old hard drive and would like some help on this, as well as a price for replacement please.

I have heard that when replacing the board you are required to remove the old ROM chip from the damaged board and transfer it to the replacement board. Is this actually true or can I simply replace the faulty board and expect it to work straight away?

I’ve attached some photos of the HDD for you, to help with identification.
